Use OneNotch with confidence.

Verified walkthroughs based on how the Mac app actually behaves. Choose a task, watch the matching preview, and follow every step from start to finish.

Open and close OneNotch

OneNotch stays in the black area at the top centre of your display. Hover there when you need it; move away when you are finished.

  1. Move the pointer onto the centre of the closed notch and leave it there for a moment. Open notch on hover is enabled by default.

  2. The notch expands to the Clipboard page. Keep the pointer inside the expanded panel while you use it.

  3. Move the pointer completely outside the panel to close it automatically.

  4. To open or close it without moving the pointer, press Shift–Command–V (⇧⌘V).

  5. If you later disable hover opening, a two-finger swipe down over the closed notch can open it when gestures are enabled.

Follow along on your own Mac: download OneNotch, finish the first-time setup, then keep this guide open beside the app.
