Move your license to another Mac

Deactivate it on your old Mac to free up an activation, then activate the same key on your new Mac.

Each key has a number of activations (Pro: 2 Macs, Supporter: 5 Macs). When you switch Macs, free up the activation on your old Mac first.

On your old Mac

  1. Go to Settings › OneNotch Pro.
  2. In the License management section, click Deactivate License.
  3. Confirm in the dialog.

The key is removed from this Mac and the activation is freed up. Your data (clipboard history, boards, settings) isn't deleted.

On your new Mac

Activate the same key as described in "Buy and activate a license".

Notes

  • Deactivating requires an internet connection. If you're offline, OneNotch shows The license could not be deactivated. and keeps the license as it is; try again when you're back online.
  • If your old Mac is broken or lost and you can't deactivate it, contact support through Settings › Support › Send Feedback.
